I think a few things about Falwell are important to discuss. First, Falwell was an outspoken supporter of apartheid. He also supported racial segregation early in his career and spoke out against MLK and the Civil Rights Movement. He released The Clinton Chronicles, the story of it is too long, but I suggest taking a look into some of the facts involved in the making of it and the aftermath.
Speaking of 9/11 Falwell said "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen." He later apologized.

His thoughts on homosexuals, "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals." Nice. Real nice.

I guess it's good he didn't molest anyone, but excuse me if I don't give him credit for it.

All true! Besides abortion, I can't think of a single area of agreement that I have with him...perhaps if I looked closely, I'd find something.
