Default It's "Tea Off" Time

God Bless the British & this turf writer in particular, muskets blazing:

...trainer Kenny McPeek is perhaps best known in Britain for attempting to win the 2017 Oaks with Daddys Lil Darling, who was spooked by thunder and lightning and bolted to post, forcing Olivier Peslier to bail out of the saddle.

Guess what? Classic Causeway's been prepping at Oaklawn this winter for a race at Royal Ascot in June.

Never mind Oaklawn doesn't have a turf course; that 6th place tiring finish behind the greats Proxy & Stilleto Boy should set him up nicely for the Prince of Wales'.

Meanwhile, no word yet from the Villafranco camp if they are contemplating sending former McPeek runner Rated R Superstar over for Ascot Gold Cup. After all, the old boy has run dead last 3 straight years in the Oaklawn Handicap which rivals Yeats and his 3 straight Gold Cup wins a few years back.
