Default Opium

I'm guessing that we're meeting the same success on the "war on drugs" as we're having with the "war on terror".

Anyone seen Osama lately? Maybe Dubbya wants to invite him to breakfast too.
Troubled times.
And to think our brave men and women are dying for them...
geesh!

Timm,
Are you getting ridiculous?
I don't think you really intend to insult my intelligence, but if that's your intent, just say so.
I know you can offer better than this response.
And, in case you're interested, I can take it.

Why would he do that? It's not NATO's fault. It's Geroge Bush's fault. Everything is Bush's fault. If Bush were a better man, the opium would be destroyed.

Who was the president that made the decision to invade Afghanistan?

Rupert,
Read the link in the "Dots Connected" thread.
you might learn something besides the propaganda you find at the Repub sites. Those "talking points" are getting old fast.

I get my news from the mainstream media. You are the only one on this board who is constantly posting propagnda from extremist, left-wing sites such as commondreams, Carolyn Baker, etc.

If you think that these sites are interested in truth, I am speechless. A news site like the Washington Post is going to post news whether the news is good or bad. A site like Commondreams will only post negative stuff about Bush. They would not print an article if it was pro-Bush. You know that. Do you think that a site like Commondreams or Carolyn Baker is less-biased and more reliable than the Washington Post? You can't honestly think that.

There was opium in Afghanistan before we invaded Afghanistan. By the way, were you against us invading Afghanistan? I don't know anybody who was against that. I don't know one person from either party that was aginst that.

Afghanistan refused to turn Bin Laden over to us. We're not going to let a country like Afghanistan shelter a terrorist who had just attacked us. If you don't think we should have invaded Afghanistan, how would you have responded to 9/11 if you were the President?

We should have invaded Afghanistan. We should not have invaded Iraq.

Turkey is now putting pressure on our government. They are saying that we 'can't' pull out of Iraq because if we do, another war in the Middle East will most likely occur.
