Default Cheapest auction purchase for a yearling?

I can't remember ever seeing a yearling published that sold for $100 or less at auction until I stumbled across this horse who runs tonight.

Looking at those trainer stats -- this trainer has won 4 of 8 with sprinters and the ROI is $7.48 -- pretty impressive if she's doing it with horses who sell for two tanks of gas.

Most sales have a $1k upset price. This horse is lucky not to have been stuffed onto a Mexico bound double decker.

Amazingly -- she went off at odds of 3/1 in her debut tonight, finished 5th.

There was a first-time starter by Artie Schiller out of a Bien Bien mare that won its debut at 23/1 odds going long on the turf the race before it. It was puzzling how that 1st time starter was 23/1 because every horse in the field could barely outrun a donkey.

I had to laugh when I saw it was a Labred.
