Default Bind (105 BSF)

Looks like Al Stall may have another late-to-the-scene three-year-old star on his hands. Bet like a sure thing and just rolled home by 10 or so over some pretty good maidens in 1:08.80 in FG 3rd today.

And not even bred to sprint. Was quite impressive.

He's by Pulpit out of an Unbridled mare, so he's bred along the same lines as Tapit. I still think Pulpit was AP Indy's most brilliant son - he's still a huge favorite of mine - so I'm eager to see this race once the video is posted.

Al Stall & Dell Hancock both on HRTV. Al says they'll just shop for the next spot... Nothing too fast, too soon. (LOL). Dell explained that they tried to sell him at KEE and they were surprised when he didn't go. Mrs. Dilschneider stepped up though and here they are again. Pretty remarkable run they're all having.

Unless you have some other definition for brilliant, Old Trieste was tons more brilliant than Pulpit.

Just watched it, yeah, looked pretty good in winning. He looks like a big mofo too.

This crop is turning out to be more interesting by the week.

We'll just have to disagree.........I liked Old Trieste, but Pulpit was a tremendous horse. He got injured in the Derby and still ran 4th.........

Here's the video of Bind:

Not a bad run by Saracen cutting out those fast fractions (21 and change and 44 and change) in his second career start.

Yeah. That's not typically what brilliant means though (tremendous).

I know what brilliant means and Pulpit was plenty brilliant. Old Trieste was very fast, but are you basing your evaluation of him based on his work before the Derby? He was a fast horse also in the afternoon, but he was also not the most consistent if I recall.

I'd like to see you two have a debate about who was a better horse....AP Indy or Indian Charlie. Can we set something like that up?

A full second faster than Beautician ran two races later.
Pretty impressive debut.

While we're at it, Mildly Offensive, a daughter of Sharp Humor, just looked pretty damn strong in her debut for Carla Gaines and Rafael Bejarano in Santa Anita's 6th. Won by 5 in 1:08.25 and came home in :11.73.

That kind of time at FG means alot more to me that a fast time at SA. I could get 1:09 at SA this winter and I'm an old, fat suburban housewife.

Hence why I didn't start a new thread for her like I did for Bind. But she still looked very good first time out.
