Yes, I just heard about the press conference being cancelled. This article says they are in the process of making a deal so that Uchitel will remain silent. Here is a link to an article about it:

As far as Tiger goes, I'm guessing that most men don't care what he does off the links either. Sure they think he's wrong, but I'm guessing that most of the people that love to root for him will still be behind him. And those who root against him, will do the same. I'm guessing the number that flip flops will be very low. If anything I think the next tourney he enters will do huge numbers with more people tuning in to see how he does.

I also think it has no impact on Nike.
On the money Matt. Little or no impact on his "fanbase" and zero impact to the Nike machine.

I wont root for him anymore. I wont root against him nor hope for further bad things to happen either, but I wont watch him and pull for him like I have been doing for the last 10 years. He's lost me as a fan but its not entirely because of this. His behavior on the course has become intolerable to watch and that jerk that caddies for him, who smashes cameras and threatens fans is sickening to watch. This affair thing is just the topping on the sundae and I probably wont watch golf at all now. Before I watched only when Tiger played or the majors.

As far as Nike goes, I'll still buy the products they make that I like, specifically the dry fit running shirts, but not because of Tiger. I dont care enough anymore to boycott them. I'll also continue to drink gatorade because I like it.

Do you really think Tiger gives a crap about what his fans think of him? Nope, as long as they continue to keep the companies who pay him in the black. I doubt he ever really cared what the public thought of him.

Wonder why they couldn't get the phone message stopped, but were willing to pay a mil to stop the press conference. If it got a slit, Gloria can't wait to get all involved in it.

I wonder how much this chick got paid to tell US weekly that Tiger is insecure about his calves?

Which reminds me of the funny Entourage episode when Drama wanted calve inplants.

I'm sure they would have paid Jaimee Grubbs whatever she wanted not to release those texts and the voicemail. But by the time they found out about them, they had already been sold to US Magazine. I think Grubbs got paid around $150,000 by US Magazine. I'm sure Tiger would have given her 10x that amount to stay quiet.

Maybe he treated her like a hoare and she wanted to pay him back and hurt him the only way he could be hurt. $150K is a lot of days at the track, I wouldnt complain about it.

I think she taught him a really good lesson that you cant buy your way out of all your troubles. You play, you pay. Not always just in money either. Good for her.

Disagree, once she realized that she wasn't the only one, she's trying to be the one that gets paid. It's kind of like being the first one to make a plea deal to spill the beans. The first one gets the deal and the rest just do the time.

Agree, and all of their phones are probably ringing by Playboy too.

She's a whore. Got a dog here, for sure, but also there are 3 whores sleeping with a married man. Also, got a womens' rights attorney representing a whore who flew all the way to Australia to be with a married man. That's a new low in the career of this hypocrite.

Tiger needs to get on a jet to somewhere (before some 16-17 year old gets the itch to start yap, yap, yappin'.) Whores don't feel as guilty when they come out together in a vicious pack. They seem to be gettin' the itch. Any moment now, it would seem appropriate timing for Gloria to quit this liar-ho (in a display of utter disgust,) and start encouraging Elin to divorce Tiger.
