Default Callide Valley, Part II

In the 2nd race at Saratoga on Saturday, Gary and Mary West are debuting a 2yo colt named Callide Valley. In the early 1990s, the Wests had a graded stakes winning sprinter with the exact same name.

If he turns out to be anything like version 1.0, then he will be a nice runner.

Same connections just had a much the best winner, I doubt that horse beat anything though. This one is in much much deeper, but Im giving him a long look at 10-1 morning line.

We'll find out in a few if he's a runner, but what a good looking horse.

I dont get it. The horse was 6-1, same connections as a recent winner. Win early pedigree and solid work tab. What is the problem with saying I liked him? Its not like I was touting the ML chalk or anything. He was 10-1 ML. I would never knock anyone for touting a 10-1 morning line horse.

I didn't say anything about you liking the horse. I scratched into him and knew he was toast as soon as Liston made it into the paddock.

My comment was geared more towards a certain poster who spoke with great fervor regarding the rampant success Eddie Kenneally was due to have at the meet with 2YOs.

I jest of course. Kenneally happened to score with a firster on Wednesday and is now 1-6 with an ROI of $1.48.

There's still time for Gales and EK's babies haven't looked bad at all. Heavenly Landing ran 2nd at big odds opening weekend so there's been some money to be made.

I'm only bringing it up because he got really mad when I gave him a hard time in the original thread.

Callide Valley breaks his maiden at 5.50-1 in his second start.
