Default with electrocutionist passing away

this past saturday in england of an apparent heart attack......... this year is the worst i have seen in the 23 years of following racing.

I agree Aly, it's been a bad year with Barbaro the bright spot...if he continues to do well! The interesting thing is that some have been unusual...freak accidents and heart attacks, takes me back to the tragic loss of Dubai Millennium and before that, Risen Star...so fragile!

true somer.....what a story its been so far concerning the great barbaro. what a smart warrior this horse is.

I really think he's gonna make it! It's as if he understands his situation, what a brave and intelligent horse!

Yes it has let's see this year we have had Died - Electocutionist, St. Liam, Retired - Lost in The Fog, Barbaro, Bluegrass Cat Injuries that have sidelined - Jazil, Lawyer Ron, SNS? I am sure I am missing alot more.

Plus All the breakdowns at Arlington Park and Del Mar.
This has not been a banner year.

as much respect as he earned, demanded, on the track, he's truly shown himself a superior horse since his injury.

he's got more good character than a lot of humans i know!!!
