Reyes re-injured that calf. Don't know how Mets are gunna win with him n' Delgado out. Huge psych. advantage to the opposition when you have all those scab players in that line-up.

Don't know what you're talking 'bout. Was in the bleachers when Fernando turned the '81 series around though. That was Righetti, right?

I remember game 6 in '81 so clearly. Can't believe it was 27 1/2 years ago.....Btw, after Eugenio Velez singled to start the top of the 9th, he scored the go ahead run, but the Padres won it with 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th. We have a 9-game cushion .

No, it isn't that easy. They had their chances, but fkd it up. It's a lazy team. They need an a-s-s kicking every 3 or 4 days. He keeps going to Cory Wade. Keeps getting hit. Joe is loyal like a fkn Don, but this guy doesn't have it this year. Everyone in the stands knows it. Guy can't do his job. He comes in tied 1-1, and gets hit. DUH...Big Surprise. Big part of managing must be about giving guys (who fail) the exact correct amount of chances(according to his teamates.) I mean, there is some reason he keeps going to Cory Wade, and it has to be some sort of respect thing. Baseball is weird that way.

Giants only got 3 hits tonite. Velez has gotten 2 hits in each of his last 2 games he's started. Bochey has no choice. Has to start him some more. If he plays well, he can play regularly. He is not a pinch hitter. He needs 4 or 5 shots a game.

Velez optioned to Triple A on Friday. Thats what happens when your hits are infield or seeing-eye singles.

That's what happens when you don't start games enough. Hey, Bochey is an offensive fool. He has proved that. How many runs did the Padres score in the post with that idiot in charge? Guy goes 2 for 5, 2 for 4, and gets sent down (right when he is starting to heat up.) That's why the Pads got rid of him(offensively he is a fkn fool.)

scuds - i was there at the new place yesterday , i don't like the new place as much , the bleachers feel further away , the upper deck is further back than the old place - sitting down below it doesn't feel as the old stadium

next time i go i will be upstairs and give you a report from up there

tex had a chance to be a hero in the 8th - 1st and 2nd no outs - you already konw the story from the boxscore

he did hit a home run in the 6th with a broken bat - place is a wind tunnel , no one believed the ball would get out - it did

dodgers lose 2 of 3 , my count your are now 9-7 w/o mannny , not bad

It's o.k.... Billyjean was lazy yesterday, but she loves her some Padre boys. She seems to simply own them boys. She like has papers on them.

Gales, this has been the guy that's come forward out of the Bully. Cory Wade, Will Oman etc. have been ineffective. Troncoso has been up n' down(can't really trust in the post.) Belasario might be the one that's got the stuff to get us to Broxton in the playoff games.
