| Maryland's Iron Man Perusing the entries for Pimlico's opening day, I ran across a name amongst the nickel and dime platers that rang a bell... Water Cannon. Now 8 years old, Saturday will be start #64 for this guy who at 3 swept Maryland's prep series for the Triple Crown (Miracle Wood, Private Terms, Federico Tesio) before taking a shot in the Preakness against Smarty Jones. He's running for $10k on turf on Saturday.

| I'll assume he is a gelding. Is he at least the favorite? Maybe I should first ask, did he finish the Preakness? |

| Water Cannon runs on virtually every Maryland Million day, so it seems.

| He won't be favored. He usually runs a good 1/2 mile then folds. He's done nothing the last few years. My trainer sure had a nice ride with him as 3 yo, though.... |
