Default Arcardia, CA weather

It must have rained quite a bit to take the races off the turf on Opening Day.

The forecast looks pretty good as we forge ahead. Was there enough to cancel two days of turf racing?

Its rained a ton, this type of rain washed away the course last year on the cushion.

It seemed like the main track held up well. I'm just wondering if the grass races will stay on. The 2nd is a down the hil, and the 4th and 7th are route races.

It's early in the meet and I'm sure they want to preserve the turf since it's a long season. I hate capping for turf and then having the races moved to the main. I'm guessing since it did not rain this afternoon and it looks like the sun is returning tomorrow that the will run the route races on the turf.

They won't say till 8:30 am the day of racing, but this being the beginning of a long meet and as dry as it has been ( Give the grass a chance to grow some ), they will stay off again Saturday would be my guess.

Yesterday it was windy and cold. Ther was enough rain last week to tell that the main track is draining better than last year. I expected more of a speed bias.
