If something had gone badly wrong with New Approach, they wouldn't be delaying the decision they would have already declared him a non runner. If he lines up, I think we are likely to see the same 1-2-3 as we saw at Epsom. I don't really see any reason for the form to be overturned. The track is likely to suit New Approach more than Epsom did and the state of the ground should be perfect for him.

Well, there goes my theory out of the window. New Approach out of Irish Derby.

That should leave it fairly easy for Tartan Bearer.

to look at the funny side of it, what do they now do with Upton Grey?? 999-1 on Betfair at the moment. Tartan Bearer is evens now which is plenty short, but he'll be tough to beat..

hmmm, they announced on TVG that Ryan Moore was fined 1000 euros by the Curragh for an incident, but they would not say what happened. enquiring minds want to know.

he was trying to get in some entrance, a steward said that it was a restricted area and he had to go to some other entrance to get in.. He got fined for his subsequent behaviour, which I take wasnt pleasant..

He'll be even more pumped up to win now..

and here i thought the mother goose was oddly run. yeesh.

i'd like to watch the replay closely to figure out what happened.

just watched the headon, and it almost comical to see how far that horse came out off the rail.

ive seen it a fair few times, it looks worse every time. Alessandro Volta was nearly sideways banging into Curtain Call, completely wrecked his chance. he carried Tartan Bearer ridiculously far wide, did a small bit of interference with the winner and Casual Conquest too..

Im trying to think if there is any country where the winner would get thrown out simply because of the actions of a horse in the same ownership..?

alessandro volta placed 4th and tartan bearer put up to 3rd.. How did the stewards not put Alessandro Volta behind Curtain Call, as he absolutely stopped him in his tracks.. you guys say your stewards are bad,, this is just plain stupid... i cant actually believe it...

and just to note, thats now the 2nd Irish Classic this year where ive put on a large place only bet and its been placed only to be subsequently dqed. (fully merited this time though, not the 1st time!!)

it looked odd to me that the rider did not appear to make any effort to keep Alessandro Volta on a straight path. i'm glad i didn't have anything riding on the race.

I missed the race, what exactly happened?

Yet another winner for Ballydoyle, they will be taking over the world before long.
