The NBA will now get a rating
above negative for a finals.
No Detroit v. San Antonio.

Yea...looking forward to it. I would say it's like the 80's again, but nothing will ever touch those games.

It should.

They are the best teams.
I'm glad Garnett finally gets a shot.

The Spurs did not bring out the best Kobe.
He still has a higher level.
I just dont know if he can be stopped.

As a lifelong Celtic fan, it's good to be back in the finals. It doesn't feel as good as I thought it would though. I think because we did it with hired guns in Garnett and Allen. I like Garnett but man, he pisses me off. He's so damn soft on offense. I absolutely hate watching a 7-footer shooting turnaround 15 ft jumpers in the fourth quarter of a tight game. Get inside and do something. Get to the line sometimes. Make the damn free-throws. It's visible how tight he gets when the pressure is on and I hate it. But yeah, I wish it could have come with a team that had been together for a few years and grown together to get to this point but this is the 2008 NBA and that's probably just an old dream. Least we have had this team from the start of the season. We didn't just bring in a guy like Gasol mid-season to turn things around.

Beat LA. In six. If it goes seven, I think the dynamic duo of David Stern and Kobe Bryant will take it.

Garnett is soft because he does not have
lower body strength. He is doing what he does
best for your team. Perkins will take care of
the pushing.

I dont think any of the teams are really very
good this year. Thats how both of these teams
got to the finals. Usually it takes a little time
together but this year ya throw some guys together
and it works.
It is good to see the Celtics and the Lakers back
in it though.
Your Celtics are probably more of a short term team
than LA though. LA's future looks very good.
Bynum comes back healthy and they get a good
PG, possible dynasty.
Enjoy it while you can.

Very short term. I don't think they are better next year and I'm already hating the fact that the Lakers are a championship favorite for the next 2-3 years. I don't think it will be more because I don't think that Kobe will hold up that much longer. I'd actually wager that he's got one more injury free year before things really start to go downhill for him. People look at his age and think he's only 29 but forget that he started at 17 so he's put in 12 years plus all of the playoff games. Those knees are 29 yr old knees. Same with Garnett.

True about the age.

Kobe is after Michael I think.
He is obsessed with Jordan's records.

What I dont understand is why some of these guys
that are high flyers like Kobe still dunk on breakaways.
Just lay the ball in. Over that many years do something
to take away some of the pounding.

After the Lakers win this series & Kobe gets MVP, he needs to hold a press conference and publicly apologize to Mitch.

And then he should kiss Phil Jackson who
convinced him to be patient. And then
maybe he should give the owner of Memphis
exactly what the girl in Colorado gave him.

I absolutely HATE when people do the comparisons to Jordan by age. First of all, Kobe came into the leage straight out of high school. Jordan went to college for three years. That alone means the comparisons are invalid. If they want to be more accurate, compare them based on number of years in the league. Also, all this talk about Kobe having more rings than Jordan did at the same point is really stupid. Kobe has them because he played with Shaq. Anyone with half a brain recognizes this.
