Default Womens FIFA

i have enjoyed watching a few minutes of the women's World Cup on espn2. Germany is in the finals and i guess they have 5 straight games w/o allowing a goal. USA plays Brazil for the final spot. Should be pretty good viewing.

I've tried to watch, but the quality of play is horrible. The passing is not good, the defenses fall apart handing out goals on a silver platter and I have seen some very shaky goaltending. Like most other sports, I'll stick to watching the men play.

Sorry dd, I have to disagree here. You should watch some of the EPL on fox soccer(football to me). I'm not sure you would want to watch Bigs team though

Now you've done it. Would you care to wager on whether your team can stay ahead of mine in the table? I'm giving you a huge headstart.

dd, I am fired up. Going to the game with seven friends. It is going to be a party and if they win, even a bigger one after. No worries about me driving, Mrs. Bigs has generously offered to drop me off and pick me up after. She is a saint.

Bigs. I too was very impressed with USF last weekend against my beloved Heels. Jury is stil out on how good/bad we are this year, but I believe USF can and should contend for the Big East title. Too early to think BCS?

Best of luck the rest of the season and enjoy this weekend's game.Attachment 542

USF fans should be fired up! thats a nice team and program! reminds me of where southern miss came from 25 yrs ago. USF should be able to hold their success better because of ALL the players there are in Fla.
do the rest of us college fans a favor and knock off the hillbillies !

Thanks Heels. Your team will be just fine if you can hang onto Butch Davis. He will get them going in the right direction. Problem is, the better you get, the more the big programs will be looking to hire him.

Yes, too early for BCS, they still have to get through WVU, Rutgers, Cinci and Louisville. A win tomorrow night definitely sets them up for the rest of the season because WVU seems to be the cream of the crop.

Easy now.

Not sure on the wager, I'm trying to come up with something clever but I'm not sure that is possible for me...

Brazil Sambas past the USA 4-0 to advance to the finals vs Germany. The women, and I am a very casual observer, seem to make more plays than the men because they have more time to pass the ball. The flow of the game is more fluid and continuous than the men's game. That's what I see.

Thats because they are slower, and thats not a slight on the girls

I tend to agree. The women's game seems to open up the field. Whereas the men, as soon as someone receives a pass, they are hammered by an opponent and seen writhing on the ground clutching their shin...all game long.
