in my opinion to get better and better behind the mike on television. Just a pleasure to listen to.

I have always thought he was good, but I think you are correct, 2MinsToPost. In recent weeks he seems to be getting more comfortable and is really doing a nice job.

I like him too...he is arogant but it is the perfect amount of arogance and it works for him....unlike many others in the industry, I have always like Jerry Bailey as a professional

Agree 1000%. If he comes across as a know-it-all, it's because he knows more than most any of us.

So true!
He has more knowledge in his pinky than....take your pick.
Just my 2 pennies...he should wear a cap with the name of the park he's at.
It would be fashionable, and hide the receding...(as if I should talk about that!)

It comes down to this, while all the other "experts" may have indeed watched thousands of races in person and looked at them on paper, he watched them from 16 hands off the ground going 40 mph.

If you click your heels three times ... and say "Jerry ... Jerry ... Jerry" ...

... your imaginary friend will show up in your trailer camp ... and play with your dogs.

Yes ... it's true ... it's really, really true.

He's doing well as a novice commentator ... and shows signs of improving ... but ...

... he should have that huge blob of hair in the back of his head seriously trimmed.

Right now his head is the exact shape of a bicycle helmet.

All these comments about Tom Hammond have me busting a gut. I always thought he was a strange one. The eyes, the make-up, oh my!

That post is ignorant. Besides, you steal a saying from another poster from another forum. You're a real classic Bold, a real classic. BTW, how'd your Mayan King walk....I mean run today?

Tom Hammond is a good man. He has great passion for horse racing. He grew up in Kentucky and has been around the sport his entire life. He gives countless money to horse racing charities and to social causes.
