![]() Happy to report after an arduous 1/2 mile workout that Flightline is "as good as ever" per his trainer.
This comes as a relief as we haven't heard anything about the colt for over 72 hours, when it was announced he was targeting the important Big Cap undercard race, the 7f San Carlos, in early March. We all know that horses like Forego, Best Pal, Lava Man, and Perfect Drift ultimately tailed off so it takes a really special horse like Flightline to handle everything that's been thrown at him. Nevertheless, with only over 30 days to go before the San Carlos, there is not much room for error. Even a slight setback may put that start at risk. Fortunately, the Pat O'Brien, just 6 months from now, would be a logical backup plan... |
