Is he kidding? It's in the interests of the state and racing in CA to let him treat a horse by using electric shock wave therapy within 3 days of a workout? Does he care to explain why he's sending a horse out to do 4 furlongs if he's got a problem necessitating three treatments in less than three weeks? What's there to heal that wouldn't also preclude such a workout, esp. given the analgesic effects? Federal Bureau was a $1.2 million yearling. He's by Medaglia D'Oro out of Keen Pauline. I'm sure there's pressure to get him to the races, but this ain't the way.

Great article in the TDN a couple years ago discussing the use of ESWT to treat concussive injuries like suspensory problems, sore shins, tendonitis, and sacroiliac issues.
