There is a phrase: NO COMMENT that can be very useful... I never trust lying SOB's like this guy, Barry Switzer, and Jackie Sherrill. Same category except as far as I know Saban is not a cheater. But if he can lie like a dog, he can cheat.
nicks doings the last few weeks reminded me just now of something, as did your post.
i used to watch nascar--turns out tho that i was a dale earnhardt fan, not a nascar fan...now with him gone, i coudln't care less... but i digress. what this reminds me of is when earnhardt shoved terry labonte the hell out of the way and won the bristol night race. i loved seeing that guy win, but not like that. he got a lot of boos that night, and i had a bit of a sour taste in my mouth from how he won.

saban regretted leaving college when he found pros not to his liking. but now he has to live with walking out on a team he committed to. he's hurting his reputation.

oh, i know. but everyone understood the desire to move on to pros. but it's a bitter taste knowing he only gave that two years. why bother if that was all he was willing/able to give?

i just get very frustrated when people walk out on a contract, or have a good year so they want to renegotiate--but have a bad year--can you imagine the reaction if a player was told we want to renegotiate because you weren't up to snuff?? but perfectly acceptable to put the owner on the spot. it's ridiculous.
saban is lucky he worked for who he worked for, huizenga is being quite a gentleman about it all.

haha, not where I'm from
cajun knows, but whatever
women have different rules
in trying to understand football

it's no problem samarta
I led the league in techs
when playing basketball
I'm used to having to sit
but I apologize if I said anything to offend you

c'mon though, regrets, I don't know
I left a job in November I could not stand
was making more money than the job I have now
but I'm much happier now
haven't we all taken a job that didn't work out?
you have to enjoy getting up in the morning
to do what you do everyday
and it seems like Saban just wasn't happy
in that situation

hopefully, he'll be happy in T-town
& successful!

happens all the time in the NFL. Contracts are NOT guaranteed and players are forced to take paycuts all the time.

This guy is a top notch recruiter. He was also linebackers coach at Nebraska under Tom Osborne.

Get ready, SEC.

Its interesting when a coach with a defensive background hires a big time defensive assistant.

Saban will have bama ready to win in about two years.

I really cant blame him for his decision. How could anybody?

This just proves that Saban was lying out of his ass all along... no way he'd be hiring this quickly unless he'd been planning this. What a piece of SHIAT!

yeah, the only other lower lifeform I can even fathom
is a person who cheers for two SEC teams
which have now taken over the #2 and #3 spots
in the SEC pecking order!!!
Roll Tide Roll!!!

Ok, logically, it makes very little sense for you NOT to root for the Gators...

Every SEC team is helped by having an underdog Gator team bring Ohio State down to size. It's good for the conference.

In a system in which the rankings, not a playoff, determines what happens, I'd rather enjoy to keep and strengthen the belief that the SEC is the toughest conference. What better way to do so than to go 6-3 in the bowls, win two BCS games and claim the national champion as one of our members?

Better for us all (SEC fans) if the Gators win. So there.

people say to cheer for the SEC
and I say how can I cheer for the likes of
awbarn, Smokey Top, LS-who?, arkansaw
Flarda, and Joe-Ja?
Urb doesn't really deserve it either
and I dread the decisions Leak will be making
with that Oh-io D coming fast
but Jame, I'll try just for you

Alabama fans whining how Dennis Franchione screwed them and their kids...
which of course he did and is part of the reason ATM will never get their National Championship (the other reason is they exist is to beat Texas- aim a little higher for Gods sake Aggies, the theme of your fight song is to saw the Longhorns horns off)

What a bunch o' crap. Maybe Saban can complete his antics by getting Bama on probation.
Lyin sack o chit.
And I really liked Alabama, I remember rooting for them way back in a Sugar Bowl against Penn ST... rooting against a coach who has some class. Shame on me.

so if harvard offered you a gig to teach your physics at their school, would you tell your class right before final exams and crush their spirits? or just tell them after it was over? the media is simply relentless, and can't give someone time to make up their mind~Fran did beat Texas, btw

guys like joe paterno are a rarity. then you have an organization like the steelers. as long as i've been alive, i've seen chuck noll and then cowher there. of course bill is probably on the move now. but i guess when franchise players went out the window, so did franchise coaches.

but i do know bama is dammed lucky, because i understand that had saban turned them down, houston nutt was next on the list. of course, had the tide gotten him, that would have been good for arkansas.
