Daddys Lil Darling Tabbed for Last in the Epsom Oaks

Following her second-place finish in Friday's Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks behind Abel Tasman, Daddys Lil Darling is being aimed at the June 2 Investec Oaks at Epsom Downs. Trainer Kenny McPeek told racingpost.com that the 3-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy, a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Mongolian Saturday, would train on the grass gallops of his Kentucky farm prior to shipping overseas.

In other sport news, the brother of infamous Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson is in training for the Los Angeles Marathon by jogging in place for 96 hour stretches every week until raceday. Meanwhile, Tommy Bonaducci, of East 213rd Street in the Bronx, who once got an autograph from Seattle Seahawks great Brian Bosworth, is planning an assault on the Big Show after buying an annual pass to the batting cages at Randall Island Golf and Entertainment Complex in Manhattan.

“They haven't had a Kentucky Oaks filly, so I guess William Hill and all those boys are going to have to work out how to set her odds,” McPeek joked.

That's funny, cuz I heard a rumor that several top local riders are in the market for a hopeless American-based mount.

I actually just cut-and-pasted my post from an old one about Dream Empress, who sadly (and shockingly) never made the trip over for the Epsom Oaks for McPeek back in 2009 or so.

I didn't want to blow a second chance but admittedly I should have done more updating.
