![]() Paul Matties has been visiting a few handicapping broadcasts since Vegas and sharing opinions but does not regularly make his selections public. Quinn doesn't publicly handicap either.
Glad Gun Runner worked out Saturday. He seemed to become a widespread 'clever' alternative selection to the 2 favorites and most times those types don't win. The $12 was a nice number. Appreciate the kind words about the show. Several ATR listeners were delirious over Venus Valentine's $150 price after Amoss explained everything that was involved with her placement in the race. Was a great week in New Orleans.

![]() As far as I know, Jim Quinn still does Saturdays at Santa Anita. I was there last year and saw him. He spends the whole card in a room and he's great. I have many of his books. He's not a tout or public handicapper, but he takes you through the process of handicapping each of the races and it's interactive with those there. Anytime I'm at SA, I go see him. A good book he wrote is "The Handicapper's Condition Book". Most people don't even look at the conditions.
