a 2 Horse race at GP

according to the GP website ( which is very unreliable ) The 6th race is scratched down to 2 horses.

odd thing is it's carded as a dirt race.

Pletcher will be what, 2/5 or 1/2 maybe? He's a 4 yo with 2 LT starts and now runs back off his last 3 weeks ago. Toss in the travel and just one modest work.

I don't think the 4 can beat Ode to Roy.

also note The Very One Handicap is still on the turf BUT has been changed to 1 1/8 instead of 1 3/8!

Good idea to save the turf for when it's really needed: NEXT YEAR.

Taking too many interesting races off the turf gets old after a while.

According to the DRF, ALL of the scratched horses in that race came down with colic and one of them died. Does seem strange that 5 of 7 horses entered in a race would all come down with colic the morning of the race.

This is a ok betting race at GP...I used fav defensively but thought the nine was a worthy win bet and found a way to think the 4 was fast enough to be part of the number..
