![]() There's a first timer in the fifth tommorow that has a very big chance in my opinion.
#8 Banner Day (12-1ML) bears striking resemblance to Morakami, the FTS that won the second race last Sunday and paid $23.40. Both 2 year old fillies are trained by George Arnold, who has a very impressive ROI with babies and has had much success with Javier Castellano in the irons. Both horses share the same owners. Both horses have very similar and kind of interesting workout patterns with only a few published works including a few on Keeneland's polytrack. They may have trained together but I couldn't verify that. They're also both pretty expensive horses. Morakami is by FuPeg and was purchased for $225K at KEE in '06 and Banner Day is a home-bred by A.P. Indy (12% with debut runners). This race seems a little more contentious to me than the one last week, which could be both a good and bad thing. The odds may be higher for her but Banner Day may have to beat some better runners than Morakami did. |

![]() Just saw that Dan Illman agrees with me in his Spa Babies column on DRF. . .
I hope too many others don't jump on the bandwagon. . . Except for DTers of course. . . |

![]() Second @ 10-1+ (not sure of exact odds). . . Paid $13.40 to place and $11.20 to show and completed a $296.50 exacta behind the overlaid Kimmel horse. . .

![]() Excellent call on this even though she ran a game 2nd. Looked like she ran the winning race at around 12-1. I didn't bet this race, but hopefully someone hit this at a price. Keep up the good work
