As a longtime breeder, I feel that bloodlines can give guidance, but not necessarily facts. Many horses run through their breeding and surfaces.

With these 3YO's, you just have to stretch them out and see. Many that had the pedigree to run longer did not and vice versa. Time will tell.

Cheeze Charlie. I have to go back and look at him. I know I saw him run and from memory he was spectacular to 7F. That was a while ago. I think he was one of the top horses in the Derby and just fizzled. If my memory is correct.

If I remember correctly, he was a very nice looking horse. Very thick, brutish and front-end loaded. Well built and fast as hell. I think he was the fastest horse around until Groovy came along. Unless my memory is messed up.

He was a champion at two in Europe. He was by Round Table, was fast, and sired short distanced horses.

Apalachee had a great pedigree (Round Table-Moccasin) and was a champion 2-year-old, but only won at distances no further than a mile. He produced primarily sprinters as a sire. Cinco Charlie comes from a family who produces mostly speed. Maybe he can outrun his pedigree like Fleet Indian and Presious Passion did, but the odds are definitely stacked against him if you were to use his pedigree as a guideline.
