Joey, how is the general mood there in YANKEETOWN tonite? They gotta take the next 2(or go home and play with their tools.)

SCAV...Jose Espinoza is particularly good at getting cheap turf horses to get into the super at huge prices. For some reason,I notice him getting a lot of 2nds,and 4ths with bombs.I can't get him to actually win with them, but once in a while, he can do it. He sure doesn't get much quality to ride.Hard to believe he does as much with them as he does.

Scuds...the reason Scavs is asking you that is because we were discussing CONRAD CROSSING in the 5th race for the start of the pick 6. Scavs think because Luzzi jumped off and Espinoza is up, that the horse is not usable. I think the horse is VERY competitive in this race.

His race two back where he closed incredibly well into some soft fractions (soft for a 1 mile). In that race, he finished second to Red Zipper. Red Zipper also just came back and wired a field in the first on Wed.

Conrad Crossing has turf form that makes him very competitive in this race and I think he is a must use in the pick 6. I am using 3, possibly 4 singles, so this is a race that I am going wide in.

Geez.
More stuff like "the owner wants to win a race on derby day".
Jockeys don't jump off horses, their agents do. An agent might ride one horse over another because of many reasons.
In this case Scavs contention and reasoning(as reported by his buddy GPK)
is so awful that I'm embarassed for him. I can't believe people actually believe in things like this without exercising some minor degree of common sense.
Were Scav to have looked a bit closer, Scav would have noticed that there has been a trainer change on Conrad Crossing since his last race. His former trainer Phil Hauswald has retired from training to become the jockey agent for Mike Smith.
The owner of Conrad Crossing decided to give this horse to trainer Angel Penna Jr. Trainers use jockeys on horses that theylike or have a relationship with(including their agents). Gee Scav, since Penna often uses Espinoza(his agent is hall of famer Jorge Velasquez) and Penna is the NEW trainer, isn't it just common sense that this was not a "choice" that was made by Luzzi or his agent? They simply weren't ever given the choice. I've never seen Angel Penna ride Luzzi, not even once.
Luzzi also gave this horse one of the worst rides at the entire Saratoga meet the last time he rode him, he steadied and choked him for over one mile straight, he should have been castrated, the little gnome.
He switches to a better trainer, is working well, and is coming off a NIGHTMARE trip and two great efforts.
Please don't take handicapping tips from guys telling you to bet a horse because "the jockey jumped off him" when he doesn't have the slightest clue what he is talking about.

We discussed the trainer switch and we had different #'s as far as the percentage that Angel is winning at.

Bottom line is that Scavs does not like Espinoza as a jock. I understand that feeling...there are horses that I don't use at times because of the jock, but I think that I could have the mount on Conrad Crossing today and he would have a legit shot at winning.

Mike, again you base an opinion on a 3rd party without hearing another side and you look like an ass. Not even going to respond to you because while you have improved over your childish acts a couple months ago, you still do not know how to respond to people, or base an opinion without being an ass. Furthermore, I dont care of Woody Stephens was training this horse, he wouldn't beat horses at Golden Gate.

I said Luzzi was jumping aboard the 5 horse, and is off the 6, while I mentioned jumping off, you don't think I know the agent does this stuff? That being said, my MAIN reason was that ESPINOZA is garbage as a jock, 6% on the year, which is my MAIN reason for not using him.

As far as the Derby goes, I have proof that I never said that (saved transcipt), it really doesn't matter, I was the one that hit for 3k on a $50 ticket 1x5x1 ($10 pick three), what did you hit for in that race?
