POST-SCRATCHES 2nd: OC/$100k, 4+, 1m (P4, P3, DD) High level OC lures return of LA Derby/Withers winner & KY Derby show pony Revolutionary, but also the seasonal debuts of SW's Reveron ('12 GP Derby), Honorable Dillon ('13 Hutcheson) & Falling Sky ('13 Sam Davis). While Revolutionary is working well for first start since Belmont, this is a prep for the Donn and his style may leave him with a lot to do on a track that isn't typically kind to off the pace rallyers.. POST SCR NOTE: SCR of Silver Menace takes earliest speed out of lineup.. Most Likely: #3 Honorable Dillon 3-1 5th Best Value: #2 Reveron 6-1 4th Next Best: #1 Revolutionary 7-5 WON ($2.60) 3rd: OC/N2X, 4+, 8.5f-T/96' (P3, DD) Most Likely: #2 Calm Pacific 7-2 2nd Next Best: #4 North Slope 4-1 7th Best Value: #5 Bi Flash 12-1 4th Exotics Use: #7 Charming Kitten 3-1 WON ($6.20) 4th: MSW, 3yo, 7f (P3, DD) Wild assembly of potential talent that features debuts from throng of expensive purchases with distinguished siblings: $700k Hartford SCR'D is a full to Dance Card (Pletcher/Stonestreet); $400k Constitution is a half to Emcee (Pletcher/WinStar-Twin Creeks); $550k Athens a half to Pomeroy (Mott/WinStar); $600k Indy's Legacy a three-quarter brother to Cool Coal Man (Byrne/Sanfords). Note that Bourbonize won an Oaklawn ALW Friday flattering Ian Wilkes' Ulanbator who was third to him at Churchill in November after a bad start.. Most Likely: #6 Constitution 4-1 WON ($4.20) Best Value: #5 Ulanbator 12-1 4th Next Best: #3 Greyfell 8-1 3rd Exotics Use: #2 Juba 5-1 2nd 5th: MCLM/$50k, 3yo, 6f (P3, DD) Most Likely: #6 Monteamira 5-1 5th Next Best: #10 Donegal Hall 3-1 8th Best Value: #5 Street Chief 12-1 9th Exotics Use: #3 War Artist 10-1 3rd <$75 P4 Play: All A Entries 1 $1.50 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 2,4 with 6 with 6,10 - $18.00 A's with One B 2 $1.00 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 5,7 with 6 with 6,10 - $12.00 3 $1.00 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 2,4 with 6 with 3,5 - $12.00 A's with Two B's 4 $0.50 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 5,7 with 6 with 3,5 - $6.00 A's with One C 5 $0.50 pick P4: 6,7 with 2,4 with 6 with 6,10 - $4.00 6 $0.50 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 9,11,12 with 6 with 6,10 - $9.00 7 $0.50 pick P4: 1,2,3 with 2,4 with 5 with 6,10 - $6.00 Total: $67.00 6th: MSW, 3yo, 9f-T/96' (Jackpot Rainbow 6, P3, DD) Rather wide open event with explosive potential if the favorites falter. Beyond obvious Majestic Sunset and Double Whammy, several at prices can move up significantly in turf bows including Blarp (12-1), Downtownleroybrown (20-1), Notability (8-1) and my especially kooky longshot Caspian Sea (20-1). Maddy Bird (20-1) another oddball number that lures Lopez and is out of dam that is full sister of $8,000,000 yearling Mr. Sekiguchi. ML second choice Perky Kitten (4-1) may be a play against off series of morning efforts that weren't viewed favorably.. Most Likely: #8 Majestic Sunset 5-1 3rd Best Value: #2 Blarp 12-1 5th Next Best: #7 Double Whammy 6-1 9th Exotics Use: #6 Notability 8-1 2nd Super Add: #10 Caspian Sea 20-1 7th 7th: OC/N1X, 4+, 8.5f (P5, P3, DD) Very tricky start to the P5 with too many players coming off layoffs. Would love to get the horses posted outside (Doherty, Tarpy's Surprise, Secretive) involved here, but they are really compromised at 8.5f.. Best Value: #5 Chee 8-1 6th Next Best: #11 Secretive 5-1 4th Exotics Use: #7 Doherty 4-1 8th Super Add: #3 Fast Falcon 10-1 3rd 8th: OC/N1X, 3yo-F, 7.5f-T/24' (P4, P3, DD) Inner Goddess may have a real chance to steal this or be in position to out-finish Miss Arrangement. Another deep, contentious group.. Best Value: #6 Inner Goddess 15-1 11th Next Best: #2 Miss Arrangement 6-1 3rd Exotics Use: #1 Super Sky 3-1 2nd Super Add: #5 Market Magic 8-1 5th 9th: 60th Ft. May not be a great deal of pace on here and if Simmstown is left alone, he'll wire. Purple Egg may be the one to apply pressure to keep things honest. Strike One looks poised for a breakthrough and with no absolute 'beat me' type involved, I'm willing to take a shot at what should be a big number.. Best Value: #3 Strike One 15-1 9th Next Best: #1 Simmstown 10-1 7th Exotics Use: #2 Csaba 3-1 5th Super Add: #6 Lea 10-1 WON ($14.00) 11th: OC/N1X, 4+, 1m-T/24' (Super Hi-5) Most Likely: #4 Red Vine 3-1 4th Next Best: #6 Twigazuri Strait 4-1 5th Best Value: #14 Kid Lightening 10-1 3rd Exotics Use: #3 Big John B 6-1 WON ($10.40) <$75 P5 Play: Exceedingly treacherous sequence.. ![]() Missed the replay of the 4th but sure didn't seem like Castellano rushed Constitution to get into race after the tangled start. That was a testing exercise in a debut to essentially be in a drive for 6+ furlongs.
