![]() MIKE WELSCH/MIKE VESCE DRF CLOCKER REPORT
8th Race PADILLA Dec. 21 - Bounced back with another big move, finished with good energy into a strong headwind, coming home in 23.67 to complete a sharp half-mile in 47.80 to the wire, continued out into the turn in 1:00.83, up six furlongs in 1:14. RATING: B+ Dec. 14 - May not have handled the muddy track well, struggled during latter stages of 1:02.78 five-eighths. RATING: C+ Dec. 7 - Razor sharp inside Belvin, cruised a final quarter into the wind in 23.16, finishing a length clear of hard-pressed mate, out well clear in 1:00.02, up six furlongs in 1:14.41. RATING: B+ TIZ BOBBY Dec. 20 - From the gate with blinkers in 24.40, 35.89, 47.18 for a half while asked only the final eighth by jockey Edgard Zayas albeit with the aid of a pretty strong tailwind much of the way, out five-eighths in 1:00.49, continues to impress. RATING: B Dec. 6 - Flew early backed by big tailwind, posted an 11.10-second eighth-mile split en route to a 59.74 final clocking for five-eighths, the last half in 47.53, out six in 1:13.89 with Edgard Zayas up. RATING: B VIRAMUNDO Dec. 22 - Back on short notice with an even better run, an easy half in 47.93, shading 24 for his final quarter split into the teeth of an extremely strong headwind, out in 1:01.40 without blinkers. RATING: B+ Dec. 18 - Nice finish to 48.32 half-mile in 23.74 while given just a hint of encouragement nearing wire, galloped out willingly in 1:01.53, up six furlongs in 1:15.98. RATING: B WHERE’S THE BABY Dec. 16 - Maintenance-type stuff, an easy breeze in 49.40, finished with interest without need of urging, out well in 1:02.45. RATING: B RED RIFLE Dec. 14 - Second of two excellent moves within a 10-day span, this time paired up with Hartford, finished strong, shaded 1:01 for five-eighths while asked just a tad to the wire, out big in 1:14.20, up seven-eighths in 1:28 and a tick. RATING: B+ Dec. 4 - Matched strides in company with Revolutionary and did so in hand, completed a half-mile in 48, galloped out with good energy in 1:01.60, up in 1:14.80. RATING: B+
