Default 7/22: Saratoga (Day 4-Shipman; $57k C/O)

It was one of those wacky Saratoga Sundays when bombs fly and as soon as Happy Fella won the 5th, you could assume a P6 carryover. But a late P4 that included $24.40 Strong Impact in the Fiddlers Patriot, $16,40 Wired Bryan in the Sanford and $141.50 Gialiana in the NY-ALW nightcap $17,714 quad pay and $900 4/6 consos in the sextet. $57,553 in the pot to start the Monday P6 pool. Frustrating part of the losses on the day was sensing that Sunday was going to be quirky, reaching for offbeat horses and connecting with none of them! Hope everyone did OK. As usual at Saratoga, you only needed to be right a little bit to make out or at least get out. Rain overnight and t-storms possible but everything on turf as of now..

Default Nice Capping

Steve,

Well done today. Your advice of a few big opinions during the meet was never so true as in today's results.

Thanks ... I was on board for the early $1600 P-3. Had work to do after that. Too bad I couldn't have stuck around.

Great job of capping today. Sure hope you took your 2 singles in your posted P6 and used them in the p4 with all in the other 2 legs. $42 (6x7)ticket returned $4,600. The all button in short fields has to be a consideration the way the bombs have been coming in.

with that kind of carryover, and the way you're runnin. You should keep everything under your hat till after the pick 6 starts. Just sayin'. I hope you don't, but you give so much to everyone, it would be fitting if you took it down all alone.

I hope many will get a chance to make a trip to 'the foothills of the Adirondacks' between now and Labor Day. With Saratoga's 150th anniversary celebration and a lot of the contentiousness around New York racing abating, it feels as if this is going to be a great season.

Best of luck for Saratoga 2013!
Thanks Steve, hope to see you at the Spa this season.
