Default Midnight Ballet

Anyone have her beyer from yesterday? Nice looking Tom Proctor 2yo filly by Midnight Lute. I realize the 2nd place finisher (Green Monkey baby) was tiring something fierce, but the winner still moved very nicely down the lane for a FTS.

Figs aren't up yet. Just mentiomed this wild rally in the DMR stakes thread.. Also just posted on twitter the following Proctor nugget: Beyond the La Jolla win, the great Tom Proctor has won w/ 5 of his last 7 DMR starters including 3 maiden winners (2 FTS). 13/6-1-2 overall.

That was Midnight Lute's 2nd winner so far from 9 that are on track.

They were both yesterday. Mylute won the 2nd at Arlington, looked pretty good doing it, although nothing visually like Midnight Ballet.

Another Midnight Lute that might be worth following is Wasted at Midnight, fifth in her debut at Del Mar on August 5. She was squeezed back at the start, fanned four or five wide into the stretch, and then came running late to finish fifth, beaten about two lengths, in a 5.5F dash won by the Proctor-trained Ponchatrain (War Front). Wasted at Midnight was a $150K Barretts 2YO and is trained by Alexis Barba.

Word was out on this horse because of workout reports, was said to be working huge and I think the trip is noticable. Should be a good horse but next out will probably be a severe underlay IMO.

The fact that this horse is being trained by Alexis "The Butcher" Barba (my opinion), leads me to believe it's going to be a bumpy road, with much unfulfilled potential when all is said and done. But I could be wrong.

I thought Todd had already patented that nickname.
