I watch them all, as broadcasts really give me a feel for the atmosphere and time of these races - I have only been following racing since 2009 and these are the closest I will get to experiencing the event the way you who lived through it experienced them! |   Thanks.  I loved the replay of the 1986 Belmont.  Being there that day, I had never seen the TV coverage prior.  I can remember the chants of "Woody, Woody, Woody" at railside. I also liked Bill Hartack's analysis along with Jim McKay. They talked about a 5 week layoff as a major obstacle for a horse (the good ole days) !!! |
