Default Uncle Mo's first work back

If anyone is at the track at 6 AM (in 3 hours from now), it would be interesting to hear/read how he went. Supposed to work 3f at 6AM today (Friday).

It was a good maintenance breeze. He handled everything well and was very willing. He's been eating a lot better and gaining weight. His coat looks more shiny than ever before and he's full of himself around the barn. He's ready to do more. You know, I'm the biggest fag to ever win an Eclipse award as a trainer. Don't forget to report that.

DRF| Saratoga: Uncle Mo has first work, an easy three furlongs

Quote:
It was about 80 degrees when Uncle Mo came on the track around 6 a.m. accompanied by a stable pony. He backed up to the middle of the clubhouse turn before turning around. Uncle Mo left the pony at the 4 1/2-furlong pole and galloped smoothly before getting breaking off at the three-eighths pole.

With exercise rider Patti Krotenko maintaining a firm grip on the reins, Uncle Mo, last year’s 2-year-old champion, went his first eighth in 12.42 seconds and got his final quarter in 25.80, according to Daily Racing Form clocker Mike Welsch, who had Uncle Mo galloping out a half-mile in 51.10 seconds. Official track clockers caught Uncle Mo in 38.40 seconds for three furlongs.

It's interesting how they keep saying, even today, that his bloodwork keeps getting better. As in it's still improving, while he is at Saratoga.

Does that mean his bloodwork is still showing something??

“He’s a different horse. He’s the horse he was when he was a 2-year-old. He’s been here for over a week now and gained five more pounds with heavy training,” said Repole. “His blood work keeps improving every single day, which is great. It’s nice to see him out there.

Quote:
“It’s kind of déjà vu,” he added. “Last time I saw him running down the stretch at Saratoga he was winning by 14 ½ lengths in his maiden, and today it looked like there was a horse 15 lengths behind him. It’s a good day. It feels like I won a big race today and it was only a three-furlong work.”
