Default Plum Pretty Out Of Goose

Baffert just posted this to the Twitterverse...

"Plum pretty not running in Mother Goose. Slight temperature this morning. Bug going around barn. Shame. She worked awesome yesterday."

Apparently the fever wasn't very bad. She's entered in the Hollywood Oaks on Saturday.

I'd like to ask this question. Is it reasonable to believe that maybe the bug wasn't that serious but he thought that traveling while recovering from it wouldn't have been the best way to get over it?

Hypothetically speaking of course, if a trainer has a top ranked horse, and says for weeks that such horse is running in one of a certain track's races, it can make it more difficult to assemble competition for said top horse. If said horse is withdrawn one day before the race is drawn, there is not necessarily enough time to assemble the same field had said horse never been pointing to the race in the first place. While this happens, as horses are susceptible to all sorts of problems that can prevent them from racing as scheduled, it can, and does, have a potentially unnecessary negative effect on certain races.

Hypothetically speaking of course.

I find it shocking that Baffert would pull a dick move of any sort.

It seemed like he was going to run a few during Belmont week that never went either.
