From TDN: Trainer Mark Casse saw off a challenge from bloodstock agent Gary Young to purchase hip 916, a bay filly from the first crop of GISW Corinthian (Pulpit), for $320,000 during Wednesday's third session of the OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training. She becomes the highest-priced juvenile at the sale thus far. Owned by her breeder John McLane and Irv Wiemer, the filly was bought back for $47,000 at last year's Keeneland September Sale. Sent to Niall Brennan's operation, she breezed a strong quarter in :21 1/5. Consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent V, the gray son of La Defense (Wild Again) was acquired by Tristan de Meric for $22,000 as an OBSJAN yearling. The Florida-bred is a half-brother to Quelle Surprise (Slew Gin Fizz), SW, $141,706.
