Would you say those Nebraska teams from the Mid 90's were the best college football teams you've ever seen?

No, the Turner Gill, Mike Rozier, Irving Fryar Nebraska team from the mid 80s was, despite their losing the championship game.

That, and the team from my alma mater, the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz.

Love the hype video. The only thing missing is Ric "The Nature Boy" Flair..."In order to be the man....you gotta beat the man....Wooooooooooo"

Besides sounding a lot like Freddy Mo ... that Christian Peter dude ranting like a lunatic was one of a kind. He was arrested 8 times at Nebraska .. allegedly raped two different girls .. sexually assaulted a third girl ... and actually raped the same girl twice in back-to-back days.

Bill Parcelles drafted him in the 5th round - and the media backlash and protests from womens groups were so great - that he was cut just a few days after he was drafted.

It's pretty much the consensus of every publication that '95 Nebraska was the best college football team ever.

They played four different teams that ended the year ranked in the top 7 - and they beat them all by 23 points or more.

Florida was 12-0 going into the National Championship game that year - they went 9-0 in the SEC - beating every single SEC team by double digits - and beating the pre-season #1 Florida State team by double digits in non-confrence as well. Nebraska beat them by 38 points in the title game.

The '94 Nebraska team won the national title by 7 over Miami. They basically kept running up the middle right at Warren Sapp and Ray Lewis. Those were the toughest college football teams I've ever remember watching.

You were too young to have seen the Turner Gill version.

I think they averaged over 9 yards on first down that entire season, mostly running the ball. That offense was insane.
