![]() Looks like Al Stall may have another late-to-the-scene three-year-old star on his hands. Bet like a sure thing and just rolled home by 10 or so over some pretty good maidens in 1:08.80 in FG 3rd today.

![]() He's by Pulpit out of an Unbridled mare, so he's bred along the same lines as Tapit. I still think Pulpit was AP Indy's most brilliant son - he's still a huge favorite of mine - so I'm eager to see this race once the video is posted.

![]() Al Stall & Dell Hancock both on HRTV. Al says they'll just shop for the next spot... Nothing too fast, too soon. (LOL). Dell explained that they tried to sell him at KEE and they were surprised when he didn't go. Mrs. Dilschneider stepped up though and here they are again. Pretty remarkable run they're all having.

![]() Unless you have some other definition for brilliant, Old Trieste was tons more brilliant than Pulpit.

![]() Just watched it, yeah, looked pretty good in winning. He looks like a big mofo too.
This crop is turning out to be more interesting by the week. |

![]() Not a bad run by Saracen cutting out those fast fractions (21 and change and 44 and change) in his second career start.

![]() It is an interesting editorial, and he does make an important point. However, doesn't the figure get a whole lot easier to make when the two races before that on the card were also 6f dirt races....as was the 5th race, which was a stake featuring several veteran horses?
I was also confused by the fact that he pointed to blinkers as a possible reason that the 6th place finisher improved....even though that horse's assigned speed figure was actually one point lower than in his previous start. |

![]() Watchmaker's getting far too much credit with you using the word "interesting" to describe anything he writes.

![]() Yeah, you both have good points.
I thought his discussion of the horse that went backwards was weird. And Nick, the interesting thing was that he even wrote that in the first place. I saw another blooper in another editorial there today as well, speaking of mistakes. It was Hovdeys piece about the San Luis Obispo just run last week. He mentioned Bien Bien giving Fraise all he could handle in the Hollywood Derby, when it was Paradise Creek that beat Bien Bien. That was the single most annoying day at the races I've ever had. |

Of course, he failed to mention that Bien Bien only won the Hollywood Turf Cup on the disqualification of Fraise. |
