our obesity problem is only getting worse in this country. too much fast food, too much pre-packaged stuff, too many sodas. i never kept soda in my house when the kids were growing up. i see roly poly kids wobbling along on their overstrained legs and shake my head.
along with the grant, they should mandate recess time every day, so kids can get some physical activity going.

so it's society's responsiblility to take over as parents? Is this that 'takes a village' crap again?

If you can't raise a child properly keep it in your pants or keep your legs closed. If all else fails abortion is still legal. Ask what you can do for yourself not what others can do for you.

They didn't ask for the fruit (the parents) The school district did. And they mosly all have jobs or are retired. I'm just demonstrating the total waste of government money.
