![]() Champion Speightstown recovering well after successful colic surgery
WinStar Farm reported today that on the evening of April 1, 2010, Champion Speightstown exhibited signs of colic while in his stall at WinStar, and was sent to Hagyard-Davidson-McGee veterinary clinic, where he underwent successful surgery to correct a large colon torsion. Speightstown has covered over sixty percent of his book to date. According to the surgeons, he could be back in action in 3 - 4 weeks, if there are no complications. “We will do everything within our power to accommodate all those breeders who have supported our program,” said Doug Cauthen, President of WinStar Farm.
