Seems someone has hacked into my email account and sent a lot of DT'ers some bullsh*t. Sorry ya'll.

Hell yes. Get rid of Norton. It's bloatware that is highly ineffective (as evidenced by your recent success with it).

Both Norton and Mcaffee are cancers to PCs.

I'd recommend either the free version of Avira or their first level paid version, Premium. Both are very light in resource use and Avira has both the highest detection rate for viruses and the lowest false positive rate.

Their interface is a tiny bit difficult, but so what.

I would also use the free version of MalwareBytes for periodic checks of spyware on your PC.

Spyware Blaster is a great free program that 'innoculates' your system against spyware too.

I also love WinPatrol, but that's not for everyone. It can frustrate novice users, though I find it indispensable.

I know you don't have my email, with that said, my spam AS WELL AS my regular inbox has numerous goofy emails, several viagra related. I always just delete my spam box, but it is concerning for me when my regular inbox gets all these goofy emails.

So I guess what I am trying to say is it may be all over.
