![]() Why not have a bet on the final winning time of a race. Have maybe 2/5 second increments and odds related to likelyhood.
I think it would be interesting, especially for the the seasoned capper as well as the no nothings. Good idea? Bad idea? What say you?

![]() Over/under wagering when parimutuel based is tricky as its tough to offer good value.
However, offering a wager where you guess the final time on the nose... with progressive jackpot potential has more merit. I think the challenge with this, however, is the novice component... does a novice walking into the track know what a 6 furlong race goes in? Hardly. But they do know what it means to finish first, second, third... It's tough for all of us to think outside the 1-2-3-4 superfecta at times for unique ways to offer wagering. |
