Question Music Note....if you were her connections, would you?

Race in the Alabama or wait for "easy pickings" in the Travers???

Anyway you look at it, she'll be going "two turns" for the first time in either race. I think.....go for the gusto and race in the Travers.
Proud Spell & Mushka will be tougher than Da 'Tara, Macho Again or Pyro and you get a weight break. Any thoughts..........

What, if anything, would the negative reprocussions be by racing in the Travers?

I would challenge BB to a match race with zero going to charity

As for Mushka....not a great return, but neither was BB's last race.....you can have him

Personally I think Proud Spell's on the decline. . . and to even mention Mushka in the discussion is ridiculous.

Who's better than her in the Travers?

A bunch of them Beyer-wise. . . so you're not going to defend the Mushka thing?

Than who? Proud Spell? I don't know that there's anyone definitively, but there are a few who are at least as good. And three-fourths of the field is better than Mushka. Plus, for a one-run horse like Music Note, I'd rather face five horses with one good one than eleven horses with a handful of good ones. I thought pretty much everyone agreed that the Alabama was the easier race..

Really?

I'm all for her going in the Travers, but it's not an easier race than the Alabama.
