Default Happy 4th of July.

Hope everyone enjoys today with friends and family. Be safe and please don't drink and drive.

As an aside...if you love history and you ever have the chance to visit the Yorktown Battlefield, I assure you it is well worth the trip.

Once upon a time, this was a day for big races - the Suburban at Belmont, the American H at Hollywood Park, the Molly Pitcher H at Monmouth (check your history books for why). Thank goodness the Stars and Stripes and Firecracker are still on the appropriate day. Too many bean counters running racetracks these days, hardly anybody with a sense of the history of the sport.

Back at ya Kev and fellow D.T'ers.. Enjoy the relaxing day if possible. Eat lots of weiners , burgers and drink like you should. Oh! and be careful if out on the roads (like myself). Best of luck to anyone lucky enough to get away to the track. If it were my choice, thats where I would be

HAPPY B-DAY AMERICA!!

they also do a very nice fireworks show over the river on the 4th! williamsburg on the 4th is very cool too! for those of you visiting Saratoga this summer, stop over and visit Saratoga National Battlefield.

the 4th is my favorite holiday. enjoy and be safe everyone!

Great day for me. Parents took a vacation and came into town. First I have seen them in about 5 months. Spent the day with them at beautiful Smith Mountain Lake.

Life is Good.
