I know there is concern on this board about the bad things going on right now and most of the post ar complaints or bad experiences, I want to point out what I think is a great story that should give all a good feeling. Dearest Trickski a 10k claim last year just won her 2nd graded stakes. One could be an accident but 2 shows that this is a real diamond in the rough. Dee Tee keep up the positive outlook. It can be done.

I cant believe they let her so easy on the lead. The track was very speed favoring on saturday. Barbeque Eddie, Dearest Trickski, and Mast Track had a 2.5 length lead all throughout the track. Closers were running on quicksand

Thursday and Friday were the opposite. The inability to get their **** together is embarassing.

Speed favoring or not, was anyone going to beat Dearest Trickski when she went 22.83 for the opening quarter? You're talking about one of the speediest fillies on the west coast and she gets away with that kind of quarter. How about Barbecue Eddie getting away with a quarter in 22.72?

Let's not forget that Mast Track didn't exactly burn the track up early eithere. It seemed like a track that favored horses who were close to the pace, but the wire-to-wire winners generally had everything their own way.

For a week, it's been tough to win on the lead (baby races excluded.) Then, they have Gold Cup day, and everything changes. Takes a day or so for guys to feel comfortable fighting up front again. No, none of the races above are legit, but the Moreno pig coming off the pace Thursday wasn't either. That's the point. They are wasting a lot of precious starts for owners who don't have a shot if the course is against their horse's style on that day. How many starts do you get with thoroughbreds? This isn't harness. They need to respect the fact that owners have a limited number of starts, and can't just piss away starts due to track bias destroying their chances.

It didnt take you long to take a negative outlook on what I was intending to be positive. How can Trickskia win not be legit with a gr1 win earlier. Give credit to the winners.

I give credit to Sadler's cheating, and a speed favoring course on Saturday. If somebody doesn't want to be known as a cheater, then simply don't get caught. He has been caught. Do you really think he got this filly to do this without cheating?

John Sadler (he also transformed former $10k claimer Zappa into a Big Cap contender) might be second only to Mike Mitchell in terms of getting ex-claimers to suddenly find stakes calibur form. Neither name when mentioned, particularly in CA, evokes a "feel good" emotion.
