By the way Cano is just days away from returning and Matsui is taking batting practice today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hes been running and throwing and catching fly balls!!!!!! red Sox are ****ing in a lot of trouble. Yankee lineup within a week will look like: Damon CF
Jeter SS
Giambi 1B
Arod 3rd
Cabrera RF
Matsui LF
Posada C
Cano 2b
Williams DH
Hows that lineup look?
Good luck red Sox fans is all I have to say!!!! Then you get Sheffield back on September 1st and he DH's. Yanks have been hanging tough with Guile, Crosby, Cairo, etc. No way do they not win this thing with Cano and matsui coming back!!! how many more runs do they get out that? Not to mention Cano's baserunning and fielding over Cairo's. Trust me, they weathered the injury storm quite well and soon they go on a tear.

YANKS WILL GET IN. Trying to keep them out of the playoffs is like trying to keep dandruff out of an old hag's hair.

Scuds look at that lineup that will greet opposing teams in a week. Thats a pitchers nightmare, guranteed to make them have bad dreams. Any team that will have the 7-8-9 guys be Posada, Cano and Williams is going to exhaust pitchers. There aren't any easy outs on that lineup and noone to pitch around. I mean what are you gonna do? Pitch around Matsui to get to Posada? Pitch around Posada to get to Cano? yeah, ok, sure, good luck. Jeter was an absolute vacuum cleaner AGAIN last night and that kid cabrera will soon be playing right field!!! can you imagin having fielding like that in right field? He'd start at center for just about anyone else in the league. Red Sox fans know its coming, they may not want to admit it but believe me they know. They had an opportunity with a hot streak and more than half the Yankee stars injured to open serious daylight, and they just couldnt do it. When Sheffield gets back September 1st, well, thats just the icing on the cake. The injuries forced the pitchers to bear down and not count on run support and for the Yankees to not count on the long ball and play solid run manufacturing fundamental baseball. The way that Cairo, Phillips, Guile, Green, Williams had to fill in and perform leaves the Yankees with very sharp and godd backup players if someone needs a game off as well. Trust me, this isn't even going to be close at the end. I'm talking 5-7 games at least, maybe 10. You are about to witness one hell of a run, I don't know too many guys who follow and love the Yanks and baseball like I do and I tend to be very pessimistic/realistic. If I tell you to bet the farm, go and get down heavily, you will thank me later.

Ok so Arod is an easy out, I concede that these days!!!!! But being such a choke artist, once the hitters get back and all he has to do is hit those meaningless solo shots, hes good for an insurance run or two that puts em up by 8 instead of 6.

YOU HAVEN'T SAID A THING ABOUT PITCHING.Beckett was solid last night.Schilling is way solid.Besides,I would get sick watching the Yanks play all the time.I'd get nightmares with Torre's nose eating everybody.

If I was gunna bet something at this point,it would be the Tigers(6/1 to win the World Series) or Twins(10/1 to win the American League.)I don't trust the RSOX PITCHING LATE,and I don't trust the Yanks pitching early.

Mussina is pitching great, Wang is very solid, Johnson has really come around, Wright is a 500 pitcher as always and Chacon will be as well.
The possible Ponson move to the bullpen as a long reliever I think will be very successful. Guy has always been a clown but hes a clown with a very rugged arm that always gives you a lot innings. Proctor and Farnsworth have really figured it out and the sandman shortens Yankee games by an inning. Sleep with one eye open, gripping your pillow tight!!!!!!!!!
