Kodiak Kowboy I noticed that he's making his 3YO debut in the 2nd at Oaklawn today going 6F... Anyone know what the plan is for him? With over $500k in earnings, he's in the gate at the Derby if they want him there...

Looks like it's not in the plans, from DRF: "The path Kodiak Kowboy will go down this year figures to be a different one. He proved to be a top-class sprinter last season, when he won three stakes, including the Grade 2 Saratoga Special at 6 1/2 furlongs. It was shortly before that August race at Saratoga that Porter bought into Kodiak Kowboy. "Long-range, I think we feel seven-eighths to a mile is going to be his best distance," said Porter. "So, I would guess our No. 1 goal this summer would be the King's Bishop." Yeah, what Steve said!

He was my pick to be the up front company for War Pass, if Assmussen decides to enter a rabbit. KK is a really nice horse to be foolish with, he could have a big summer in the 3yo sprint division.
