Just watched the replay. I know it wasn't a great race, but i was pleased with that run. He seemed to be travelling well turning for home but then blew up, which is what i expected after such a long layoff.

He didn't race lazily, which is a good sign. He had started to become quite lazy during his final few runs over here.

Will they step him up in trip for his next start, perhaps 6 1/2 furlongs? I always thought that was his best trip.

He'll go up to 6 furlongs next. Corey Nakatani wants the ride again-which is a good sign.

He was only beaten 6 1/2 lengths or so and the winner broke the track record. I would guess that Stormont has only been in a race that fast when he won the Group 2 in Germany. 5 Furlongs in a few 1/100ths over 56 and a time of shade over 1.02 for the 5 1/2.

That's good to hear that Corey wants the ride again.

I thought it was a very good run, considering the time he has had off. I still think he could make his mark over there if he is over all of his problems. You only have to see how easily he won that Gr2 in Germeny to realise he has plenty of ability.

He should have finished much closer in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot. He managed to find all the trouble there was in that race.

Thanks for the update though. Much appreciated. Will show my father the replay later this evening. He willl be pleased to see 'his' horse back in action again.

Cheers.

wow. this horse has some close followers.
i never gave him a second look having not hit the board since 2003.
he'll have to drop to the bottom level to have any impact at Hollywood.
