just curious if anyone knows why he is no longer editor in chief at bloodhorse? i turned to the usual column, and he wasn't there. only a cryptic 'no longer associated with bloodhorse publications' included in a column written by dan liebman.

Ray Paulick, who served as editor-in-chief for The Blood-Horse weekly magazine, confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that he has left the Thoroughbred industry magazine.

An assistant to Blood-Horse President Stacy Bearse said Bearse was unavailable and said he would not comment on any change in the editor-in-chief position.

Paulick has served as editor-in-chief of The Blood-Horse weekly magazine since May 1992 and managed all editorial products for Blood-Horse Publications.

Paulick spent eight years in the Los Angeles office of Daily Racing Form working as a handicapper and editor, then moved to Kentucky in 1988 to become managing editor of THOROUGHBRED TIMES. He left that position in 1991 to help launch the now-defunct Racing Times daily newspaper

I can't remember specifically what it would've been but I do recall being surprised once or twice that he got away with publishing some thoughts/opinions that he did. I assumed someone with some financial muscle might take offense so it just depends on who got rubbed the wrong way. Good on Ray for saying all that though.
