Default Petition on the ADW fiasco

In an effort to bring some attention to the horse players getting continually pushed around but the constant wrangling of signal licensing among racing authorities and ADW's (Advanced Deposit Wagering sites), paceadvantage.com has posted an online petition in the form of a thread. It is the intent that this petition is printed out and presented at the Jockey Club meeting this week in Saratoga. Please read and sign if you feel it appropriate.

Thanks,

Bill Weaver

Maybe we can start this as a thread and you can cut and paste, instead of all of us going over there and signing up. I do not have a Paceadvantage and I want to be lazy.

Yes, I brought up the problem and as with Steve's site PA requires registration for good reason. I asked the admin about a way to allow non-registered people to sign and he didn't see an easy solution.

Dual thread is a good idea (with Steve's and PA Admin permission). I'll follow that up.

Thanks, Scav

It is a good idea but the Jockey Club doesn't have much to do with this. They just register horses and make up stupid rules about silks.

CS,

I think the hope is for some visibility (any visibility!). Distribution certainly doesn't have to stop there (we know industry types are reading PA's board for instance). Seems that the interest of a few are being protected and a lot of us (horsemen, owners, players) are getting jerked around. It's a start anyway.

I agree that you have to start somewhere. Send a copy to guys like Gary West (the writer not the owner) and Andy Beyer and maybe they can drum up a little support.
