Arroyo Trabuco was really impressive in his last race. I thought that he would be 3-5 if he came back in a starter allowance race. Here he is in a starter allowance race tonight and he is the 3rd choice. I can't believe it. He was totally geared down the final 100 yards of that race. I thought he won the race by 5 lengths. I was surprised that the Form only shows that he won by 2 3/4 lengths. I pulled out the tape and realized that he did only win by 2 3/4 lengths, but that's only because Jose took a tight hold of him that final 100 yards. Otherwise he would have won by 5.

I see that there was a scratch in here. That may hurt the price a little.

I agree he looks good.
i didn't watch the replay but the numbers looked great. he might not be taking the action because of the stretchout. |

He ran alright but not quite good enough. I couldn't bet to place either because I could see that he was going to pay under $4.00 to place. I can't complain. He got the trip I was hoping for. He just wasn't quite good enough.

What's interesting about AT is that even though he's by Monarchos and he's a big long-striding horse who looks like he would have no problem stretching out, his dam actually never won going further than 6 furlongs. So AT may actually be better sprinting even though everything about him looks like a route horse. |
