Yep...loved it !
It prompted me to go up to Ocala to see New Episode...the farm he got his start at. I got to meet Tony Everard. He gave us a tour.It was an awsome experience.

Here are some pictures.

I thought it was pretty good..I do prefer reading about the old timers that ran before I was alive or really interested in the game.

Any time. If your ever in FLA, give them some heads up and let them know you made plans to see the farm...they'll go out of their way to accomodate.

It is funny that you said it that because I just finished reading the FC book for the second time today. I definitely recommend it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Barcley Tagg as a trainer. He's my favorite one. Anyway, I was wondering what other horse books besides Seabiscuit are good to read? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Barclay is great. Very honest guy, something hard to find in the horse business. He has another Lael horse, La Coruna running tomorrow on the turf at Belmont.

LOL, I just finished the Funny Cide book! I liked it and would also recommend Wild Ride, plus there was one I read last year that I LOVED,,,,,,the title totally escapes me now at 1:23 am, but it was about the trainer of Volponi. Great, great read. If someone can remind me of the name, I will order it so I can re-read it.

Suzanne(just got back from my barn!)

I think it's called 'The Big Horse' can't remember who wrote it though.

Another must read is "Stud, adventures in Breeding" by Kevin Conley.

Man o'War - a Legend Like Lightning.........it just came out a month or so ago, and I read it in a week. It's a great book, especially for Red fans.

It's by Joe McGinniss.
Black Maestro (about Jimmy Winkfield) by Joe Drape is a very good read, came out this spring. Much better than Wink IMO.
