Well, if we're going to do the track functions like the old yearling/weanling/juvenile, etc., I think I deserve to be somewhere in the Beulah Park range at this point.

What is hilarious is that on Vbulletin you can give people specific nicknames. On another site, they have Vic Stauffer as "Master Mumbles". Need a nickname for Oracle/Hooves/Kasept(can't create his own though)

Actually, Araphoe and Northfield might be the only tracks I am officially positive funds on. I will have to check...Add Cal-Expo to that list

Default New "User Titles".. Avatars..

I have switched the User Titles away from "levels" to tracks after a suggestion...

BUT... Everyone can create their own USER TITLE as I have... Go to your "USER CP" (control panel) and Edit the User Title to whatever you want!!

AVATARS: You also can edit in your own Avatar... I'm using "Necco Wafers" and am surprised no one has added their own avatar... There is a size limit and I am trying to build a library of avatars people can choose from as well...

Play around on your USER CP... You can add a photo of yourself, add to bio info, etc..

I'm familiar with these kinds of forums, but decided against the avatar for now. When you guys see mine, you'll laugh.

Steve- Thanks and just wanted to emphasize how much better a site this is not only from a people standpoint, but also from a technical one than the ESPN board or any of the others. I am in the business and from a functionality standpoint, this is tops!

I don't have an 'edit user title' option, only edit avatar, edit signature, or edit profile picture. Am i just looking in the wrong place?

Thx Tim.. Just the fact that you are enjoying it and contributing said that to me! I wanted it to be fun and highly functional for members/users, and though I didn't want to parrot PaceAd, this vBulletin system appeared the best licenseable Forum Tool available... Glad you like...

The site was more than a year plus in the making and I'm a bit offended that anyone at the ESPY thinks this was done to destroy the 'old board'... There's 300+ people here in 4 weeks, and they're ATRAB listeners, Yahoo-era Derby Trailers, Trackfacts viewers from this weekend, etc... The characterization that this is a private cliche of old board people is ridiculous...

Lots of nice things ahead too including heavy involvement with "1-2-3racing.com" and "Capital OTB"...

heh heh, Neccos are my snack of choice when traveling. Good bang for the buck, calorie-wise. I usually compare the packs looking for the heaviest licorice and chocolate fractions.

DB..

You know that Necco offers an all-chocolate roll??? Hmmm...

Those that are unaware, "NECCO", ("New England Confectionary CO), is a tiny candy outfit that makes some great goofball items that those of us on the East Coast grew up with..

Besides the Necco Wafers, popularized during WWII in C-rations because they don't melt, Necco makes the incomparable "SKYBAR".. a ridiculous chocolate bar that has four pockets of fillings: Vanilla creme, Peanut creme; Fudge and Caramel...

They also own Havilland candies that make a WINTERGREEN MINT PATTY!!! They have Peppermint Patties, but these are WINTERGREEN!!
