Default Jesse Jackson - Potential Co-Representative for Jockey's Guild

Good or bad?

Personally, not sure either way at this point.

I'm not a huge fan, and it seems to me his actions are often quite self-serving. Is this someone the jockey's want representing them? On the other hand, for THEIR best interests, he certainly has more political clout than they are likely to get elsewhere. Good for the jockeys and possibly bad for the bettors as the jockies somehow seem to believe they are entitled to even more of our money ( we already pay them ).

I'm leaning toward the latter part of this.. For the jocks' best interest, this would be a good thing.

Jesse is just Jesse, but I dont think he will make any improvements. Jesse will just bring up the fact that horse racing doesnt have many blacks in it. He will have a hard time playing the race card as well. Smart man, selfish man but he can get things done in the correct setting.

The betting public has noting to do with the day rate or the purse % the jockey gets. The Jockey Guild needs to get support from all the celebs., that are a the Kentucky Derby to help with the cause. In the end the betting pool and purse pool will most likely have to pay for their medical and long term disablity.

Ummmm, who do you think funds the purses from which the jockey's recieve, at least, the bulk of their pay?

That would be the bettors. Those same bettors these same jockeys were looking to tax even more in Kentucky recently to cover their insurance.

Jackson lacks credibility. His racist tendencies are troublesome.

Pat Buchanan of the left. Out for himself. Exploits hatred. Sharpton is worse though.
